How can I group search results?

Modified on Fri, 29 May at 3:16 PM

When browsing route information on ch-aviation, results are displayed in a clear, consistent order by default — and you also have the option to reorganise them by operator to suit your workflow.

Default sort order

By default, route search results are sorted alphabetically in the following order:

  • Origin — sorted alphabetically first
  • Destination — sorted alphabetically within each origin
  • Operator — sorted alphabetically within each origin–destination pair

Grouping results by operator

If you prefer to view results organised by airline or operator, you can use the "Group result by operator" option. When this is selected, the sort order changes to:

  • Operator — sorted alphabetically first
  • Origin and destination combination — sorted alphabetically within each operator

This view is particularly useful when you want to quickly review all routes operated by a specific carrier, rather than scanning across multiple operators for a given route pair.
