What assumptions underpin aircraft valuations on ch-aviation?
All aircraft valuations published on ch-aviation are based on a standard set of baseline assumptions. These ensure consistency and comparability across all values provided. Unless otherwise stated, the following conditions are assumed to apply:
- Values are stated in millions of U.S. dollars — All valuations are expressed in USD millions.
- Half-time condition — Except for new aircraft, it is assumed that the aircraft and all of its major components are in a half-time condition relative to the current maintenance programme and overhaul intervals for the respective components.
- Certificate of airworthiness — The aircraft is assumed to be capable of receiving a certificate of airworthiness from an industry-recognised regulatory authority.
- Airworthiness directives — All mandatory airworthiness directives are assumed to be current and fully complied with.
- No damage history — The aircraft is assumed to have no damage history and to be in good overall condition.
Valuations that deviate from these assumptions — such as aircraft in above or below half-time condition, or those with a known damage history — may differ materially from the values shown.
