How do I use the news search form?

The news search form allows you to combine multiple search criteria to quickly find the news records most relevant to you. Here is how to get the most out of it.

Choosing a news category

You can filter your results by news type, selecting one or more of the following categories:

  • General news
  • Route network changes
  • Management changes

Searching by operator

In the operator filter, you can search by either the carrier name or its IATA or ICAO code. For example, entering Air France or AF will return news records associated with that airline.

Searching by airport

In the airport filter, you can enter a city or airport name or its IATA or ICAO code. For example, entering Johannesburg or JNB will return news records referencing that airport.

Combining search criteria

The real power of the search form comes from combining filters. For example, searching for operator AF (Air France) and airport JNB (Johannesburg) will return all news records that reference both Air France and Johannesburg — such as route announcements, suspensions, or other updates involving that destination.
