How accurate are the end-of-lease dates for wet leases?

The accuracy of wet-lease end dates cannot be expressed as a single percentage, because it depends on whether the wet lease is ongoing or completed, and on where the aircraft operates.

Completed wet leases

For wet leases that have already ended, the end date is recorded to the level of the individual flight. We identify the last flight operated under the arrangement, provided that:

• the aircraft is equipped with ADS-B, and
• the aircraft operates in a region with flight tracking coverage.

Accuracy by region

• Europe and North America: tracking coverage is excellent, so historical wet-lease end dates are highly precise.
• Rest of the world: coverage is good overall, but there are some gaps where flight tracking is limited. In these areas, end dates may occasionally be less precise.

Ongoing wet leases

We do not track future end dates for ongoing wet leases. The end date of an active wet-lease contract is not known in advance, so no projected date is shown. The end date is added once the arrangement has concluded.
